Children

Children can start lessons from age 5. There are wonderful children’s guitars on which even young children can make a good start.

Young children meet the instrument in a playful way, while a continuous learning path is maintained. Step by step they learn to concentrate better on the music, both in the lesson and at home.

Practising at home should always be very relaxed. Short sessions to absorb what was covered in the lesson are better at first than long stints. For very young children, 5 to 10 minutes is often enough in the first weeks. Daily practice gives the best effect.

For younger children it can be helpful if a parent or carer attends the lesson, so they can help with practice at home. Some parents even choose to take lessons together with their child.
